I really dropped the ball!!</p><p>We are having another Hook-In this year and they are really growing. We will have 2 wool vendors this year and another vendor with other goodies as well as the yard sale table. It is from May 17-19, 2023 in Cody Wyoming. You are responsible for getting your own room. Debra Inglis can help you with that with a few places. So many bring their 5th wheels and motor homes or stay in Air B&B's.</p><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSgJNmK8mhT_3XR7QhBatFT2Q1I-AuCwr7z1PBRcbHM_mgimL2DnVxzYl18dfsqdLXlpYevIz4BwCiEfoTmTD6DSbNyXyUJxkGhJmNNaD9eOsQGljWVpQQ_JltaSlU16PK4RnLn4JRAZSwUOJ2KlUyNSiTL-9K0HqV5eyXXYCLzqTOeKAmesaiTb5x/s792/324669837_630629695488958_8501075188231019552_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="612" data-original-width="792" height="247" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSgJNmK8mhT_3XR7QhBatFT2Q1I-AuCwr7z1PBRcbHM_mgimL2DnVxzYl18dfsqdLXlpYevIz4BwCiEfoTmTD6DSbNyXyUJxkGhJmNNaD9eOsQGljWVpQQ_JltaSlU16PK4RnLn4JRAZSwUOJ2KlUyNSiTL-9K0HqV5eyXXYCLzqTOeKAmesaiTb5x/s320/324669837_630629695488958_8501075188231019552_n.jpg" width="320" /></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBIqbFIPWiijSwqXZSRHlMiNLuWCGejaMHo9T57bYjgMWLiKwE4bTq-X8xt529LDbJX9o9dMzv5mX6-5PVshYF2fFKB_GIjka-Y93U3dPLZn1vuvcoAdDa0MSvXYzoxasp_gjULxh2jHWyOOCayjKknNhDlY_xJGoFGqU_6lJUaCcuhRxlfcvNQkwJ/s792/324555733_728038428527237_2839316975253460628_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="612" data-original-width="792" height="247" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBIqbFIPWiijSwqXZSRHlMiNLuWCGejaMHo9T57bYjgMWLiKwE4bTq-X8xt529LDbJX9o9dMzv5mX6-5PVshYF2fFKB_GIjka-Y93U3dPLZn1vuvcoAdDa0MSvXYzoxasp_gjULxh2jHWyOOCayjKknNhDlY_xJGoFGqU_6lJUaCcuhRxlfcvNQkwJ/s320/324555733_728038428527237_2839316975253460628_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Make checks out to Debra Inglis for a reserved seat. It is a very fun, comfortable place to create or just have coffee with friends.</p><p>The Wild West Rug Hookers met there for the first time on Friday Nov. 19th but I know it won't be our last. We have such a fun group and I love that is is slowly growing. Sue Kirwan even came from Bozeman Montana to hook with us thanks to Barb Hagler in Billings. The group represented Montana, Faye Schilling from Minnesota/Arizona, Debra Inglis from Clark WY, Patty Tyrrell from Shell WY, and me, Sylvia Gauthier from Cody WY. The Wild West Rug Hookers were going to have Cynthia Norwood at a Camp last week but because of health reasons Cynthia couldn't make it. Several of the Rug Hookers that were coming to the Camp wanted to come to Cody anyway so we had a Hook-In instead. It was so wonderful being in a group again! </p><p>I had all my soaps, candles, oils, and salves for sale while others brought frames to sell, hooks made by Craig Pearson, patterns we knew we would never get around to hooking, frame covers, and wool. For such short notice it turned out to be a very successful event. We are actually going to talk about having it once a year!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RKlX6wgKiaA/YJqoX1gAJTI/AAAAAAAAKtQ/eHq02ZrsuCo6UX5N317lYnVRIojpabXcgCLcBGAsYHQ/s501/IMG_2769.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="481" data-original-width="501" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RKlX6wgKiaA/YJqoX1gAJTI/AAAAAAAAKtQ/eHq02ZrsuCo6UX5N317lYnVRIojpabXcgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_2769.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">For the rug show we had a wonderful display of rugs! It was SO good seeing everyone who could make it and we truly had a wonderful day. </p><p>Catherine Butterick, a Region 10 ATHA member, gave all of Region 10 a challenge to use our worms. Worms are the strips of wool already cut for a project and not completely used up. What we all found is the the worms actually seem to reproduce as you are using them. Our piles didn't dwindle much. I think I could use my worms for a very long time. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-51-rQkVW_KA/X3NjpwuPyGI/AAAAAAAAJfU/VKwfhVQjWhwdTcIeMX9QJkVl7aNJenjaQCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/Debra%2BChallenge2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="373" data-original-width="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-51-rQkVW_KA/X3NjpwuPyGI/AAAAAAAAJfU/VKwfhVQjWhwdTcIeMX9QJkVl7aNJenjaQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Debra%2BChallenge2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is Debra's second Challenge Rug using worms. It turned out to be a social event for a couple of cross stitchers. We had a record number of rug hookers too, 7 of us!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R7k2iEkzoOQ/XkrDcrwlZNI/AAAAAAAAG88/EDYoCWiqm1EID4Sq-Y3pm6d78V9Q66itQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Debra%2BMidnight.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="591" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R7k2iEkzoOQ/XkrDcrwlZNI/AAAAAAAAG88/EDYoCWiqm1EID4Sq-Y3pm6d78V9Q66itQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Debra%2BMidnight.jpg" width="259" /></a></div>
Debra has been busy with other tasks and hadn't hooked since our last meeting but she got more hooking done Saturday.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fKQV1oXY5SM/XkrDciKcbPI/AAAAAAAAG9A/hrmuVtdeIWkK4gBjeh5L1q_lvA-ljZzbwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Patty%2BBaa%2BRam%2BEwe.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="415" data-original-width="640" height="207" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fKQV1oXY5SM/XkrDciKcbPI/AAAAAAAAG9A/hrmuVtdeIWkK4gBjeh5L1q_lvA-ljZzbwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Patty%2BBaa%2BRam%2BEwe.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Patty started this floral Baa Ram Ewe design. It's a nice spring design to be working on.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WRBh_VFf6JY/XkrDcsTEcBI/AAAAAAAAG84/1OAtmV-ICSEGYSWO_wsPOXfVUlgWvTjFACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Patty%2BChicken%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="600" height="256" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WRBh_VFf6JY/XkrDcsTEcBI/AAAAAAAAG84/1OAtmV-ICSEGYSWO_wsPOXfVUlgWvTjFACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Patty%2BChicken%2B2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Patty used a wide cut on her adorable antique chicken. I love her colors!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dQQRu-KqlUE/XkrEkvbd-gI/AAAAAAAAG9U/Pi1Pk6Jl09o3eWtjjGY0LQEpe2P3kkP0ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Sylvia%2BIpswich%2Bhome.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="922" data-original-width="1080" height="273" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dQQRu-KqlUE/XkrEkvbd-gI/AAAAAAAAG9U/Pi1Pk6Jl09o3eWtjjGY0LQEpe2P3kkP0ACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Sylvia%2BIpswich%2Bhome.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I finished my Ipswich by Woolly Fox. It is one of my favorite rugs. I hand dyed a lot of the wool for this one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--OTDrbF18rM/XkrHKPRTP5I/AAAAAAAAG9s/xll4hElKHTAdRP7nZeWMNFhuLbij-5cWgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Faye%2BTurkey.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="797" data-original-width="960" height="265" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--OTDrbF18rM/XkrHKPRTP5I/AAAAAAAAG9s/xll4hElKHTAdRP7nZeWMNFhuLbij-5cWgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Faye%2BTurkey.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Faye wasn't at the meeting since she is snow birding in Arizona, but I have to show her Fall Guy by Woolley Fox. She did an outstanding job!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
All in all it was a beautiful ride to Shell and a truly fun filled day.</div>

Here is Liz, who is hooking for the first time, Emily, the above artist and Scotta. Liz and Scotta came all the way from Billings MT to hook with us and it was SUCH a pleasure to meet them.<br />

Patty is hooking her rooster in a wide cut. It is turning out so cute!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8keAdVgvT1Y/Xhy3aph8M4I/AAAAAAAAGQI/Q1TkjOiomP8Ajk5Tqv2ZYLXpNcKuYQoyACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Patty%2BChicken.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="445" data-original-width="640" height="222" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8keAdVgvT1Y/Xhy3aph8M4I/AAAAAAAAGQI/Q1TkjOiomP8Ajk5Tqv2ZYLXpNcKuYQoyACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Patty%2BChicken.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Patty finished the rug she started at Prairie Rose Rug School. It is absolutely stunning!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fxD9oIwBl6I/Xhy3bXjc9eI/AAAAAAAAGQU/dOEZxhwB_W0hp4YTq2IgTr6PLh5zPwPKQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Patty%2Bstar%2Bfloral.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="463" data-original-width="640" height="231" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fxD9oIwBl6I/Xhy3bXjc9eI/AAAAAAAAGQU/dOEZxhwB_W0hp4YTq2IgTr6PLh5zPwPKQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Patty%2Bstar%2Bfloral.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Since Patty was taking pictures of everyone else I found another picture of her to post. We can't leave out the photographer!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qle6cPYGAW8/Xhy3bq1QT6I/AAAAAAAAGQY/m4sAj_-SYUwKZTZjMTaloqhQ1ipoj6l1ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Patty.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qle6cPYGAW8/Xhy3bq1QT6I/AAAAAAAAGQY/m4sAj_-SYUwKZTZjMTaloqhQ1ipoj6l1ACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Patty.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
I dyed both fabrics for my Coverlet from Old Tattered Flag. I copied the idea from Barb. I know which granddaughter will probably get this but I have to make some other grandkids rugs first. She got the Eiffel Tower I did awhile back.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-S5FFN9Bu_TM/Xhy3cIkxEEI/AAAAAAAAGQc/VHb-1wlLPHkTgdACwpFqnLTmti0Zz0_WACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Sylvia%2BCoverlet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="506" height="303" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-S5FFN9Bu_TM/Xhy3cIkxEEI/AAAAAAAAGQc/VHb-1wlLPHkTgdACwpFqnLTmti0Zz0_WACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Sylvia%2BCoverlet.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Here are me and Debra, busy hooking away. Everything I did on my rug I took out Saturday night and started again Sunday morning. I tend to do that a lot but I am always happier with the results.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aCjPqWIrifg/Xhy3cmBxioI/AAAAAAAAGQg/w5JwzduOrvsDdNSaoolWlyxHuRPMp3OBwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Sylvia%2BDebra.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="340" data-original-width="640" height="170" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aCjPqWIrifg/Xhy3cmBxioI/AAAAAAAAGQg/w5JwzduOrvsDdNSaoolWlyxHuRPMp3OBwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Sylvia%2BDebra.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I have had this Kim Nixon footstool pattern for awhile now and decided to get it finished. I dyed all the fabric except for the background and had a blast hooking it. I need to make the stool,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FJyjBpY1kRs/Xhy3dCevKBI/AAAAAAAAGQk/tIQmnVw3xdYPbuW_G6k1-vGrla18ZsoBQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Sylvia%2Bsunflower.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="518" height="296" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FJyjBpY1kRs/Xhy3dCevKBI/AAAAAAAAGQk/tIQmnVw3xdYPbuW_G6k1-vGrla18ZsoBQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Sylvia%2Bsunflower.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Debra is working on this adorable snowman from Spruce Ridge Studios. She even has a little paisley pocket that a felted snowman fits into. I believe the tree is going to be dimensional too.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IH8iOxYRhck/Xhy3n-F482I/AAAAAAAAGQs/kYbE_VMrdgI-hzrNqrF5Dm_dgJ5BcMpWQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Debra%2BSanta.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="635" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IH8iOxYRhck/Xhy3n-F482I/AAAAAAAAGQs/kYbE_VMrdgI-hzrNqrF5Dm_dgJ5BcMpWQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Debra%2BSanta.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>
Laura came too and as usual, we didn't get her photo but it was such a pleasure to have her there. The three new ladies hooking with the rest of us made it one of our most inspiring days!<br />

Patty, Jan, and I were the only ones but we sure had a great time! Jan finished the first rug she started 7 years ago and started another one. She has such a busy life that I'm not at all surprised it took her that long to finish. I hope we get to see more of her!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y-Y-3tbSqW0/XfvrURPC1OI/AAAAAAAAFwM/GnRKN8WF3Xc1fgjXbgtrvTr0WsWcR7F8QCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/IMG_2243.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Y-Y-3tbSqW0/XfvrURPC1OI/AAAAAAAAFwM/GnRKN8WF3Xc1fgjXbgtrvTr0WsWcR7F8QCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/IMG_2243.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Barb couldn't make it but she sent a picture of the rug she is working on. I just adore her colors!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4UomOoMJIQw/XfvrTzdQ2zI/AAAAAAAAFwE/LwAU1EXetHUHpcQk1044N7Ml_xd67bmzQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Jan%2BBarnett.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="374" data-original-width="640" height="187" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4UomOoMJIQw/XfvrTzdQ2zI/AAAAAAAAFwE/LwAU1EXetHUHpcQk1044N7Ml_xd67bmzQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Jan%2BBarnett.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
This is Jan's 7 year rug. It may have taken awhile but it turned out wonderful!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3PzHKH9Y-3k/XfvrT-G8viI/AAAAAAAAFwI/_lklS-tbniU-t6gEivMEYVBAgrROUkQCgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Kris%2BKringle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="433" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3PzHKH9Y-3k/XfvrT-G8viI/AAAAAAAAFwI/_lklS-tbniU-t6gEivMEYVBAgrROUkQCgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Kris%2BKringle.jpg" width="216" /></a></div>
I (Sylvia) hooked Kris Kringle from Woolley Fox. I hooked his coat in paisley shawl. This went so fast!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XzQvHu9JLQU/XfvrURZYjiI/AAAAAAAAFwQ/D_S7CM9o4DIqHZ6fR-G372Vkb1ckHEbbQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Merry%2BChristmas%2Btime.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="318" data-original-width="640" height="159" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XzQvHu9JLQU/XfvrURZYjiI/AAAAAAAAFwQ/D_S7CM9o4DIqHZ6fR-G372Vkb1ckHEbbQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Merry%2BChristmas%2Btime.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Then I started Keith Kemmers Merry Christmas Time. I chose the large one. Again, I used a paisley shawl for the coat. It is a different one but they sure look similar.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ajV0-d2OHB4/XfvrUmJf_QI/AAAAAAAAFwU/xsI8bewpWbw4xSQ_d-0noWJW_seyATgfwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Patty%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="446" data-original-width="641" height="222" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ajV0-d2OHB4/XfvrUmJf_QI/AAAAAAAAFwU/xsI8bewpWbw4xSQ_d-0noWJW_seyATgfwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Patty%2B1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Patty is almost done with her large rug she started at Prairie Rose Rug School in August. It is even more stunning in person. Such a beautiful job!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6-etKL5QnCg/XfvrU4RcN2I/AAAAAAAAFwY/At2lavI3xdU6Xxn8zDfponEzR7ZLlflHwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Snowman.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="592" height="259" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6-etKL5QnCg/XfvrU4RcN2I/AAAAAAAAFwY/At2lavI3xdU6Xxn8zDfponEzR7ZLlflHwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Snowman.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I hooked a snowman from Barb Carroll's book to stuff. I'll hang a bell from his hat and add twigs for arms.<br />
<br />
We always have such a wonderful time. I can't get over how blessed we are to have such a positive and uplifting group.<br />
<br />
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!Sylviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18023977099455124884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951928193457111857.post-8593734467352818752019-12-02T10:22:00.002-08:002019-12-02T10:22:46.987-08:00November Rug Hooking The Wild West Rug Hookers met in Cody at the Park County Library this month and we had a blast, as usual. One of our newest members drove all the way from Billings, Montana to visit and hook with us and we are so happy she did. Thank you Barb.<br />
<br />
Barb made this adorable Christmas rug, her first! She is such a fabulous rug hooker.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6NIVisT15wQ/XeVUON09hsI/AAAAAAAAFeY/T-qz_YWN81A24-ZUwnGT-ul2H_y-dAkBgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Barb%2BChristmas.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="546" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6NIVisT15wQ/XeVUON09hsI/AAAAAAAAFeY/T-qz_YWN81A24-ZUwnGT-ul2H_y-dAkBgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Barb%2BChristmas.jpg" width="281" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
This is Barb's version of The Old Tattered Flag's pattern hooked with hand dyed fabric. The photo doesn't show how amazingly beautiful this rug really is!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q4FC6CTtVbU/XeVUOIh4s2I/AAAAAAAAFec/yovjgcqG4ss1bA-e_1TRCK447TlJ2gPdACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Barb%2BOTF.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="501" height="306" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q4FC6CTtVbU/XeVUOIh4s2I/AAAAAAAAFec/yovjgcqG4ss1bA-e_1TRCK447TlJ2gPdACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Barb%2BOTF.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Debra finished her pumpkins from Woolley Fox. I love her little crow.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TKu2BKqR6tM/XeVUOPNNfDI/AAAAAAAAFeg/70oOQU-zg1gU2pCMtTj5D7ixKUcdfAvhwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Debra%2BWF%2Bpumpkins.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="215" data-original-width="640" height="107" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TKu2BKqR6tM/XeVUOPNNfDI/AAAAAAAAFeg/70oOQU-zg1gU2pCMtTj5D7ixKUcdfAvhwCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Debra%2BWF%2Bpumpkins.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Debra also finished this large Woolley Fox Stocking. It is just wonderful!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W1N1tccFp78/XeVUOl8cVxI/AAAAAAAAFek/Yk0OVzlbV98pXDNBvfDomI4O09MpukWBgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Debra%2BWF%2Bstocking.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="259" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W1N1tccFp78/XeVUOl8cVxI/AAAAAAAAFek/Yk0OVzlbV98pXDNBvfDomI4O09MpukWBgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Debra%2BWF%2Bstocking.jpg" width="129" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Patty is moving right along with the rug she started at Prairie Rose. It's just so pretty!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-je6_cY_CyPg/XeVUO4UCMeI/AAAAAAAAFeo/AfRQCOJ6uAwsj5Lc8MNw_hggwnT9sCjLgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Patty%2BPR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="611" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-je6_cY_CyPg/XeVUO4UCMeI/AAAAAAAAFeo/AfRQCOJ6uAwsj5Lc8MNw_hggwnT9sCjLgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Patty%2BPR.jpg" width="251" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Sylvia finished her Theresa Rapstine runner. It is hooked in a 10 and matches the pillows she hooked a couple years ago.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-itsQfwKQQDk/XeVUPNwIDMI/AAAAAAAAFew/wfNvcSRT0ck6eFVex4VI6cbhNZYw1yISACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Sylvia%2BFloral%2BTheresa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="197" data-original-width="640" height="98" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-itsQfwKQQDk/XeVUPNwIDMI/AAAAAAAAFew/wfNvcSRT0ck6eFVex4VI6cbhNZYw1yISACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Sylvia%2BFloral%2BTheresa.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Sylvia finished her Halloween rug by Trish Travis from her kit she got in Denver at the ATHA Biennial.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R517YafDXVk/XeVUPg7i7dI/AAAAAAAAFes/LJvP9zTqIX4lhVeNgOWAFmEN46kfzdI1ACLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Sylvia%2BHalloween.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="445" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R517YafDXVk/XeVUPg7i7dI/AAAAAAAAFes/LJvP9zTqIX4lhVeNgOWAFmEN46kfzdI1ACLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Sylvia%2BHalloween.jpg" width="222" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
She also finished two pillows she had started earlier. Both are filled with wool snippets.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MFoeRbHQvOQ/XeVUP2bd_mI/AAAAAAAAFe0/rgISumaWr0U6dmVkDQimUL6Fcxfh5n9iQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Sylvia%2Bpillows.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="345" data-original-width="640" height="172" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MFoeRbHQvOQ/XeVUP2bd_mI/AAAAAAAAFe0/rgISumaWr0U6dmVkDQimUL6Fcxfh5n9iQCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Sylvia%2Bpillows.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
And last but not least Sylvia hooked this adorable Too Many Cookies she bought as a kit, which was such a great kit, from <span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2228; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;"> </span><a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheBeeTheBear" rel="nofollow" style="background-color: white; color: #338fe9; font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; outline-width: 0px !important;" target="_blank">https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheBeeTheBear</a>. On his backside he has a pocket with a candy cane.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The scenery is always beautiful and so is the company.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k1poqw8bmjY/Xa3wHDhhU2I/AAAAAAAAEyk/AF8lx4LdQeEsrCDmxCXbrWff1RwPJNvZgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Debra%2Bold%2Bblue%2Bflower.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="477" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k1poqw8bmjY/Xa3wHDhhU2I/AAAAAAAAEyk/AF8lx4LdQeEsrCDmxCXbrWff1RwPJNvZgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Debra%2Bold%2Bblue%2Bflower.jpg" width="238" /></a></div>
Debra worked on binding her Old Blue Flowers, designed by Theresa Rapstine. Debra hooked this beauty with hand torn strips. As always, she does such a fabulous job.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lDh29jwHctM/Xa3wHKJYIPI/AAAAAAAAEyo/SbE8UFiMWeE0HA2rY_ndqMD_8UBxZyoZgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/Patty%2BStar.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="440" data-original-width="640" height="220" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lDh29jwHctM/Xa3wHKJYIPI/AAAAAAAAEyo/SbE8UFiMWeE0HA2rY_ndqMD_8UBxZyoZgCLcBGAsYHQ/s320/Patty%2BStar.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

Debra Inglis did an outstanding job preparing lunches and snacks for all of the rug hookers attending. Patty, Carla, and I helped but Debra was the Master Chef.Sylviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18023977099455124884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951928193457111857.post-43218928749846032672019-09-04T09:08:00.000-07:002019-09-04T09:08:22.783-07:00ATHA Biennial 2019, Denver ColoradoThe ATHA Biennial in Denver Colorado is now over but it will be a lasting memory for everyone in attendance. I felt like a Princess the entire event. Yes, it was really that wonderful! Martha Lowery, standing at our table, is such an amazing woman and I'm so happy to now call her my friend. Debra has known her for many years. She is on the ATHA Board. Oh, and I'm now the Regional Rep for Region 10! Patty, Debra, and I all went from our Guild. SO MUCH FUN!<br />

Please join us!Sylviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18023977099455124884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951928193457111857.post-61663430092009720572019-07-26T09:13:00.000-07:002019-07-26T09:13:00.812-07:00Some Rug Hooking in Shell, WyomingThree of us met in Shell, WY to hook last weekend. It was a beautiful drive. Both coming and going the largest group of wild horses I've ever seen were down by the highway. It was wonderful!<br />
<br />
Hooking was great fun. Debra worked on a medallion rug she started with Barb Carol. It is large and I can't wait to see it finished!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XOs07UDCiRc/XTsks-lZgwI/AAAAAAAAD18/eD5svszmNQAqB8dSh1Yu7dZEDeorh5KYgCLcBGAs/s1600/Debra%2BMedalion.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="651" data-original-width="1080" height="192" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XOs07UDCiRc/XTsks-lZgwI/AAAAAAAAD18/eD5svszmNQAqB8dSh1Yu7dZEDeorh5KYgCLcBGAs/s320/Debra%2BMedalion.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Patty was working on a bag designed by Cindi Gay. It goes onto a purchased pencil bag. Really cute idea and I love how hers is hooked.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sDAVTXX_Qxs/XTsks-TIeTI/AAAAAAAAD14/ZmBvfg9JHhUe97Tm4wxSHdhltJAbmt5gQCLcBGAs/s1600/Patty%2BCindy%2BGay%2BBag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="722" data-original-width="1080" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sDAVTXX_Qxs/XTsks-TIeTI/AAAAAAAAD14/ZmBvfg9JHhUe97Tm4wxSHdhltJAbmt5gQCLcBGAs/s320/Patty%2BCindy%2BGay%2BBag.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Patty also brought her wide cut sheep all finished and stuffed. The wool was perfect for the sheep!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tlxRp55VeKA/XTsksy3Z6TI/AAAAAAAAD10/7BcPBsxWRzAVqgWWL6yx29um6ytTNqr9ACLcBGAs/s1600/Patty%2BSheep.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="695" data-original-width="1080" height="205" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tlxRp55VeKA/XTsksy3Z6TI/AAAAAAAAD10/7BcPBsxWRzAVqgWWL6yx29um6ytTNqr9ACLcBGAs/s320/Patty%2BSheep.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I brought a crock design I got from Two Old Crows. I'm hooking it into a pillow but not the crock shape.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eGRwS0dudt0/XTsktS82rII/AAAAAAAAD2A/5U99zxx6cdIN9mMj6MalXhJ3L94KDNX6gCLcBGAs/s1600/Sylvia%2BCrock%2Bpillow.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1022" data-original-width="1080" height="302" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eGRwS0dudt0/XTsktS82rII/AAAAAAAAD2A/5U99zxx6cdIN9mMj6MalXhJ3L94KDNX6gCLcBGAs/s320/Sylvia%2BCrock%2Bpillow.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I finished hooking my Maggie Bonanomi heart. Now I need to decide how to finish it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Am3NSJTQ5og/XTskthdEx_I/AAAAAAAAD2E/xrf7_cOlYJ08LDaOWqi09GwpIq1qvEtLACLcBGAs/s1600/Sylvia%2BHeart%2Bfinished.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1287" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Am3NSJTQ5og/XTskthdEx_I/AAAAAAAAD2E/xrf7_cOlYJ08LDaOWqi09GwpIq1qvEtLACLcBGAs/s320/Sylvia%2BHeart%2Bfinished.jpg" width="268" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As always we enjoyed each other's company. We are so lucky to have each other! Next weekend we will be demonstrating at an Arts Fair in Thermopolis WY. It is always a blast with so many really great vendors, music, storytelling and demonstrating. It runs Saturday and Sunday. We hope to see you there!</div>

Carla was back from a wonderful adventure where her daughter graduated college and had a wedding all in the same day!<br />
<br />
Carla has the outside lines of her first rug outlined and it is now time to fill the rest in. She has done a great job!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TDIENfLBuns/XOlcZ4asKUI/AAAAAAAADaI/iw0dMPnsqLEg2zgnn60Bo8ynVh7K4paDQCLcBGAs/s1600/Carla%2Bflowers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TDIENfLBuns/XOlcZ4asKUI/AAAAAAAADaI/iw0dMPnsqLEg2zgnn60Bo8ynVh7K4paDQCLcBGAs/s320/Carla%2Bflowers.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I finished my Ligonier Duo by Woolley Fox. There is a lot more beige and taupe in this rug than it shows. I had a lot of fun hooking them. It took me a long time to finally decide on the colors I wanted to use.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ds7UzpDhLcw/XOlcbGWOWTI/AAAAAAAADaY/HFs1094d04AYat32NaiSDMa2tj8plPPPgCLcBGAs/s1600/cats.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ds7UzpDhLcw/XOlcbGWOWTI/AAAAAAAADaY/HFs1094d04AYat32NaiSDMa2tj8plPPPgCLcBGAs/s320/cats.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Patty finished her design by Nancy Gingrich. I just love how it turned out! Great job Patty!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After Patty finished her flower she started on a torn wide cut sheep. She had never done torn strips before so I was helping her out a little.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t7GbJg7zce8/XOlcZw8UtHI/AAAAAAAADaE/XsAvrJtf-7MDk49cLTHzeTszB_mEsqMzQCLcBGAs/s1600/Patty%2Bwide%2Bcut.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t7GbJg7zce8/XOlcZw8UtHI/AAAAAAAADaE/XsAvrJtf-7MDk49cLTHzeTszB_mEsqMzQCLcBGAs/s320/Patty%2Bwide%2Bcut.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Patty was smiling at Carla. We have so much fun when we get together.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Srl6BDtAiVY/XOlcacpsCuI/AAAAAAAADaM/1T5z8rQr9I0vHcQhvRpmZy95nokoZYXAQCLcBGAs/s1600/Patty.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="720" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Srl6BDtAiVY/XOlcacpsCuI/AAAAAAAADaM/1T5z8rQr9I0vHcQhvRpmZy95nokoZYXAQCLcBGAs/s320/Patty.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
I was working on my heart pillow....still. I only work on it when I go to hooking elsewhere. The rest of the time I work on a big project on my Cheticamp frame my daughter and I built. I love working on it so much!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I don't know what I was saying here but I know we were having a blast.<br />

Happy Hooking!Sylviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18023977099455124884noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951928193457111857.post-51508599483466935482019-05-05T10:31:00.002-07:002019-05-05T10:31:51.923-07:00April's Hooking at the LibraryWe had a great time hooking at the Library, in Cody. Patty, Debra, and I met to discuss upcoming events like the Shell Hook-In, which is filling fast. Don't forget to sign up. The cut off date is July! You can find a brochure on this blog or our Facebook page Wild West Rug Hookers. We are also focusing on our 2020 Rug Camp with Cynthia Norwood, which will be at the Irma Hotel in Cody, WY. Again, brochures are available on our Facebook page under the Files section. Cynthia has decided to come out of retirement to teach for us in Wyoming and we are honored and thrilled. This could be your last chance to take a class from a Rug Hooking Icon of this caliber.<br />
<br />
Patty completed the stool she designed for her niece.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XP81pTmrocM/XM8Zu0GmgUI/AAAAAAAADQg/poUKDSa_kx44gTn2gXHyBb9GSHbFYmqigCLcBGAs/s1600/Patty%2BFootstool2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="495" height="310" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XP81pTmrocM/XM8Zu0GmgUI/AAAAAAAADQg/poUKDSa_kx44gTn2gXHyBb9GSHbFYmqigCLcBGAs/s320/Patty%2BFootstool2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
She used the Cindy Gay template for the Ikea stool for the outline. Patty even used brands from local ranches and 4 different horse silhouettes around the sides. Her colors are perfect and I love the mixture of colors in the background. It was a wool called Big Top. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zg_SLEQs7Ws/XM8Zu00alQI/AAAAAAAADQo/6Qu0rBVrBl0pc8xw7ke_gGdznlFY2l13QCLcBGAs/s1600/Patty%2BFootstool1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="558" height="275" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zg_SLEQs7Ws/XM8Zu00alQI/AAAAAAAADQo/6Qu0rBVrBl0pc8xw7ke_gGdznlFY2l13QCLcBGAs/s320/Patty%2BFootstool1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Patty is also so smart. She bought a stool from Ikea, had it shipped directly to her niece and only has to ship the cover. I was very impressed she thought of that!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HliFYST7160/XM8Zv0SdQ-I/AAAAAAAADQw/OcHrSVYO47ICvkiQnHsQeYcJZ3d1fYKjACLcBGAs/s1600/Sylvia%2BMaggie%2BBonanomi.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="557" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HliFYST7160/XM8Zv0SdQ-I/AAAAAAAADQw/OcHrSVYO47ICvkiQnHsQeYcJZ3d1fYKjACLcBGAs/s320/Sylvia%2BMaggie%2BBonanomi.jpg" width="275" /></a></div>
I worked again on my heart pillow by Maggie Bonanomi. I changed up the heart and started on the background. This is my traveling project because I have started using the Cheticamp frame I made and I absolutely LOVE it. I will post my finished big rug soon.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pcCkfDHarwU/XM8ZvmAfHzI/AAAAAAAADQs/Vw_59xJA3p8UUYozYpfxp1Q0AiQbbed9ACLcBGAs/s1600/Patty%2BNancy%2BGingrich.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="594" height="258" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pcCkfDHarwU/XM8ZvmAfHzI/AAAAAAAADQs/Vw_59xJA3p8UUYozYpfxp1Q0AiQbbed9ACLcBGAs/s320/Patty%2BNancy%2BGingrich.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Patty was working on a pillow by Nancy Gingrich. The wool on the outside of the flower was so amazing that Debra and I ordered some right then and there. I love technology. It is called Funny Girl. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qbfG8R9HDas/XM8Zu1hRCsI/AAAAAAAADQk/KBtzTFtFVf0lkiDTQ4EXnz4fXobl6a6CQCLcBGAs/s1600/Debra%2Bspring.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="350" data-original-width="640" height="175" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qbfG8R9HDas/XM8Zu1hRCsI/AAAAAAAADQk/KBtzTFtFVf0lkiDTQ4EXnz4fXobl6a6CQCLcBGAs/s320/Debra%2Bspring.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Debra has been needle punching lately and this Spring pattern is wonderful. She is such a talented woman!<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Debra finished her Susan Quicksall pattern and kit for her Texas Bag. She did such an incredible job, as always. I absolutely LOVE this design and I can't wait to see her carrying her bag when it's finished! <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Patty finished her Bea Brock design and it turned out amazing. Bea is another Texas designer! Texas sure has amazing rug hookers! It's beautiful Patty. She started it in Cody, WY at a class in the historic Irma Hotel, taught by Carrie Martin. The class in 2020 will be taught by Cynthia Norwood! We are so excited to have her come to Wyoming! I hope you can make it too!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Debra finished her two cats that she started a few years ago. Katie Hartner from Woolley Fox helped her with the color plan. Thanks to a new wool from The Wool Studio she had just the right shade of pink for her bottom flowers. I absolutely love this rug!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I finished my Clover rug designed by Theresa Rapstine. The flowers a a little more muted than they show here. I used torn strips for the first time and I LOVE the look it gives. This is the cushiest rug I've ever made. I'm making her a companion right now. A purple rooster!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Debra started her Texas bag from Holly Hill Designs. It is absolutely stunning already and I can't wait to see it finished! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I needed find something small to work on so I drew out Maggie Bonanomi's heart. I'm going to take the light pink out. It's amazing what you see in a photograph.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Patty is so close to being done with this rug designed by Bea Brock. It was a bit overwhelming when she received the pattern. Carrie Martin simplified it for her and helped her color plan when she taught at the Irma last summer in Cody.<br />
<br />
We didn't get a picture of Carla's rug but she is so close to being done! It is her first rug hooking project. It is her own design and she is doing a great job!<br />
<br />
It was, as always, a fun filled day with a group of great ladies. I know I say it a lot but we have such a good group of ladies that we hook with. I'm grateful for them all.<br />

Plans for our Big Horn Mountain Hook-In in Shell, Sept.20-22, 2019 are coming together so well. Several have signed up and the cabins at the Shell Campground are booked! There are still more options if you don't have an RV or camper.<br />
<br />

Debra finished crocheting the edge on her Trish Travis pattern she worked on when she was in Fredericksburg TX. I just love this rug!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

After finishing the Halloween rug Debra started this dummy board from The Old Tattered Flan. I can't wait to see it finished!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I (Sylvia) finished my Crazy Horse bag hooking. I got the whole kit from Susan Quicksall. It is absolutely the most organized kit I've ever bought. It has now been shipped off to get finished. I can't wait until it's done!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

After finished the Crazy Horse bag I started my red cow Clover, designed by Theresa Rapstein, who is teaching at the ATHA Biennial in Denver in August, by the way! I'm using hand torn strips and I'm loving it! This rug is going to be so cute and cushy!<br />
<br />

It is always a great time with many wonderful vendors.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hand woven baskets by Village Crafters is always a big hit. We always have some we bring home.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6u63MxcRQ_s/W8YiTkXQETI/AAAAAAAAC4I/_KoSmsb34SQeomQW4gG_gxNylyRZNN4CACLcBGAs/s1600/20181013_092434%2B%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1283" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6u63MxcRQ_s/W8YiTkXQETI/AAAAAAAAC4I/_KoSmsb34SQeomQW4gG_gxNylyRZNN4CACLcBGAs/s320/20181013_092434%2B%25282%2529.jpg" width="256" /></a></div>
Theresa Rapstine had wonderful wools and of course her patterns, which I can't resist!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dmbd6K7dYPg/W8YiTsz4jCI/AAAAAAAAC4M/5XWcRhl_KU008r2gqJ5-ODWdUtQwffdtQCLcBGAs/s1600/20181013_092437.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1166" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dmbd6K7dYPg/W8YiTsz4jCI/AAAAAAAAC4M/5XWcRhl_KU008r2gqJ5-ODWdUtQwffdtQCLcBGAs/s320/20181013_092437.jpg" width="233" /></a></div>
Here are two more of Theresa's rugs on the floor. She will be one of the teachers at the ATHA Biennial in Denver.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Judy Cripps is always the busiest booth at the hook-in. She brings a lot of wool and patterns!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nQ9pb9JaubE/W8YiUeF8rGI/AAAAAAAAC4Q/xNaLBKgkTIIZUezGiCLs7OJyNs766NsgwCLcBGAs/s1600/20181013_092648.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1204" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nQ9pb9JaubE/W8YiUeF8rGI/AAAAAAAAC4Q/xNaLBKgkTIIZUezGiCLs7OJyNs766NsgwCLcBGAs/s320/20181013_092648.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
This is part of the Gatherings booth. They sell Maggie Bonanomi patterns among many other items.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rpzGRjpZVCA/W8YiURuIvAI/AAAAAAAAC4U/A_rCxt0NCXEpY9PPia7IA1M3AWYXodYGACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0471.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rpzGRjpZVCA/W8YiURuIvAI/AAAAAAAAC4U/A_rCxt0NCXEpY9PPia7IA1M3AWYXodYGACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_0471.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
Here are some of the wonderful women there. Last I heard there were 129 in attendance. Their door prizes were the wool trees on the tables. There were a lot of beautiful fall colored ones.<br />

I had a lot of fun taking to this woman and several others who sat by me during the day. I'm working on Sharon Smith's Eiffel Tower. <br />

Patty got the pattern for this cute sheep in Judy Cripps booth.<br />
<br />
Patty, Debra, and I had a wonderful time. On Friday we hit IKEA and bought so many treasures we weren't sure how we were going to fit on the way home but thank goodness I have a large trunk in my Taurus.<br />
<br />
We are looking forward to next year and especially the Biennial!Sylviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18023977099455124884noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5951928193457111857.post-87772244113701317632018-09-18T08:56:00.000-07:002018-09-18T08:56:04.186-07:00Shell Wyoming Day of Rug HookingWhat an exciting day we had in Shell Wyoming Saturday! The weather was perfect for driving and we had our largest group EVER! We had a total of 7 for the day!<br />
All the work we have done at the Festival in Thermopolis is paying off. Kim was interested in hooking and drove to Shell to buy one of our beginner kits and learn to hook AND a woman who is working at the Shell Campground this summer came by to learn too. Two new hookers!!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

It was especially good to see Carol (left) who is not only struggling with cancer, but broke her hip. She has been through so much and it's so nice to see her still hooking.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BQj1EPR4hmo/W6EeKvv_DOI/AAAAAAAAC3Q/JCcYLjoILRceqdshpaZSsQBNgmJ660FYQCLcBGAs/s1600/Faye%2Band%2BPatty.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="511" data-original-width="480" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BQj1EPR4hmo/W6EeKvv_DOI/AAAAAAAAC3Q/JCcYLjoILRceqdshpaZSsQBNgmJ660FYQCLcBGAs/s320/Faye%2Band%2BPatty.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
Faye came for the first time since last year. She brought her Stone House Runner and Patty brought hers. Isn't it amazing how similar and yet different they are!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-toyTh0MdBSM/W6EeKq9dVEI/AAAAAAAAC3U/UlYTK9FagGcHNqLVuYaPOyTIhOXj7o2_wCLcBGAs/s1600/footstools1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="481" data-original-width="614" height="250" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-toyTh0MdBSM/W6EeKq9dVEI/AAAAAAAAC3U/UlYTK9FagGcHNqLVuYaPOyTIhOXj7o2_wCLcBGAs/s320/footstools1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Fay designed this beautiful stool cover. Hers is the shorter one. I wanted to copy hers and close as possible and Patty got creative with hers. They are so pretty together like that!<br />
The original shape is from Cindy Gay's Ikea Stool Course.<br />
<br />
We didn't get pictures of what everyone was working on but the day was filled with teaching, laughter, and fun.<br />
<br />
There is one extra day added to our schedule with one more day of hooking in Shell on September 29th.Sylviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18023977099455124884noreply@blogger.com0
