November Hook-in

We had a small group meet at the Library for a very fun day of hooking. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to meet.

I brought a chicken I finished. The colors in the photo aren't quite right but you get the idea. I haven't decided if I want a chair pad (just finish the edge) or a chair cushion (stuffing and wool fringe outside).
I brought my completed Padula Pomegranates. I have decided to hang it in the guest room instead of putting it on the floor. White rugs aren't a smart move in my household.
Carol has more done on her Covered Bridge. It is turning out so beautiful!
Before Rug School I was working on this New England Berry Tree. After I finished the Pomegranate rug I finished the background of this one. I was using the Flax and Linen wool for the background but decided it needed a little extra umph so I overdyed some of it just a tiny bit darker. Then I pulled a little bit out now and then and added the darker and finished using both. I'm so in love with this rug.
Patty had done more on her Sunflowers. I absolutely love how it is turning out.
Now I am working on my Floral rug from Maggie Bonanomi. I thought I'd choose something a little different like teal leaves. I'm really loving how it is coming out.

We are so lucky to have such a great group. God has certainly blessed us!

  1. Beautiful rugs--None of mine are on the floor. So nice your group has a meeting place and space to get together and spend the day doing something you love

  2. All beautiful rugs! Carol's rug has a beautiful dimension to it. She has captured the art of a real landscape with the big tree forward and the covered bridge and trees receding into the background. I'm impressed!
